HOW TO EDIT TEXT IN OUR TEMPLATES

Lots of tips on how to get the most out of all our funeral card templates. Quick videos showing you how to add text, resize text, change font styles, colors and more.

How to change text color

Select the text you want to change and click on the color rectangle in the tools panel to choose a new color. You can also select a color from the design directly by clicking on a colored
area with the “eye dropper” tool. Watch the video example above.

How to change & add text

Double-click directly onto the text you want to personalize to change/delete it. You can also personalize text by selecting it, then typing in the text box located in the tools panel (upper RH side of the page). To add a new text box (if available), click on Add Text Box in the tools panel. Watch the video example above.

How to resize text

Select the text you want to resize, then choose a number or enter it in the drop-down box in the tools panel. Watch the video example above.

How to adjust character & line spacing

Adjust the spacing between letters/lines. Select the text you want to change, then click on the line or height spacing icons and adjust using the sliding bars or by manually entering a number. Watch the video example above.

How to add glyphs & special characters

Use the Glyphs button to open the different glyphs available for that font. Click on the glyph you want to add and then click the copy button. Once copied, go back to the text and click where you want to add the character, and click Ctrl/Cmd+V to paste the glyph into the text.

How to change the font style

Select the text you want to change and choose a different font style from the drop-down box in the tools panel. TIP: As a rule you would generally only use two different font styles, one style for the body text and maybe a more decorative cursive font for names and headings.

How to add a drop shadow to text

Select the text you want to add a drop shadow to, then click on Style Text in the tools panel and select Drop Shadow from the drop-down menu. Change the color, offsets, and blur of the shadow. Watch the video example above.

How to add a stroke (outline) to text

Select the text you want to add an outline to, then click on Style Text in the tools panel and select Stroke from the drop-down menu. Change the color, distance (thickness), and opacity of the outline. Watch the video example above.

How to make text see through - Opacity

Select the text you want to make transparent, then click on Style Text in the tools panel and select Opacity from the drop-down menu. Enter a number or use the slide bar to
adjust the opacity. Watch the video example above.

How to rotate text

Select the text box you wish to rotate and use the slider to rotate the text to the desired amount. You can also rotate text by hovering the mouse over the small white circle at the top of the text box until a circular arrow appears and circling the mouse. Watch the video example above.

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR TEMPLATE

1. Access Your Template at Corjl

You can access your purchased template two ways. Within 10 minutes of payment you will receive an emailed linkto your template on the Corjl platform. Simply click on that link to go to your template. Alternatively you can access your template by going to Corjl.com and click on the Log In button and use your email and order ID number.

2. New Order or Previous Order

If you are opening Corjl for the first time, you will be prompted to select “New Order” or “Edit a Previous Order.” If you select New Order, you will be prompted to select the source from the dropdown menu.

If you are editing a previous order, you will be prompted to enter an email address and password to open your order.

3. Start Editing

Once you have access to your Corjl item, you can edit the fields that have been made editable by the designer. Select and edit text directly on the artboard or change the visible text in the box displayed on the right-hand side of the screen. You can undo edits by selecting the undo button or revert to the original design (warning: all edits will be lost). If you are happy with your edits you can save and download your design.

4. Download & Print

Once you have completed your design and want to download your file for printing, select the “Download” button on the left side of your screen. You can select a file format that the designer has enabled (PDF, JPG or PNG).

You will see various options including Paper Size, Page #, Show Bleed, Show Trim Marks, Print Multiples Per Page if Possible, Tile Same Design and Tile Different Designs. Select which options you would like then click the “Download” button and retrieve your file for printing.
